Where did Elxis Travel in January?

With offices in Thessaloniki, Crete, and The Netherlands, and a network of properties spread over 50+ villages all over Greece, Elxis’s team is always moving around. Here’s where we visited in January.

Eleni Travels to Crete

As a core member of the Elxis legal team, Eleni is an experienced guide for first time buyers and sellers in Greece. Eleni’s talents are usually called upon for 20-page legal contracts, Power of Attorney’s, and property transfer papers– documents that leave many Dutch and German clients saying “It’s all Greek to me.” Eleni speaks Greek and English, along with some French and Italian, and is a self-professed fan of psychology books.

Chania and Rethymno

Eleni’s latest journey took her to Chania and to Rethymno in Crete. The route required a flight from Thessaloniki to Athens and then to Chania. After touching down, she had an appointment with an American client from Texas to explain the legal process of buying a property in Greece and then they visited the local Notary for a Power of Attorney. Later that day, Eleni interpreted a contract for some clients who bought a new property, and signed two purchase contracts for Sunny Days, a popular project in Asomatos, Rethymno that is currently under construction.

Raki in Rethymno

Eleni’s off-hours highlights in Crete were eating a wonderful dessert at Raki Baraki in central Rethymno (with a Raki on the house – a classic show of Cretan hospitality!) Eleni also enjoyed some of the simple moments on the Cretan seaside, which are characteristic of the laid-back Cretan pace of life. A coffee she had in Chania port, at the Chania National Nautical-Athletic Center with a wonderful seaview, was undoubtedly a highlight. The temperature was 25 degrees, which is not unusual for Cretan winters.

Konstantinos Visits the Ionian Coast

Konstantinos Gitsopoulos is a Sales Account Manager at Elxis. A young, ambitious, and inquisitive individual, he is fluent in Dutch, English, and Greek, and is the first point of contact for many clients. In his free time, he enjoys training and playing soccer, but he enjoys trying out other sports as well, as he believes that you lose more if you don’t try!

Konstantinos

Plataria and Syvota

Konstantinos’s travels this January took him to Plataria and Syvota along the Ionian Coast. During the same trip, Konstantinos stopped in Igoumenitsa, a picturesque port town in northwestern Greece. While there, he took pictures with a developer and met a notary to sign a Power of Attorney. This is a typical trip for Konstantinos, who spends at least a few days in western Greece every month when a client calls on him. The drive to the Ionian coast during the winter is a real pleasure, with many sights along the way while passing through Epirus and Thessaly. Konstantinos particularly enjoyed the view outside of Metsovo.

One of Konstantinos’s favorite parts of these trips is sitting down for coffee with his clients. This trip, they drank hot chocolate together, and he drove his clients around the plot at the Syvota Stone Cottages later on as the sun began to set.

Michalis Goes to Corfu

As one of Elxis’s most tenured team members, Michalis is no stranger to five-hour morning drives to the Ionian coast. In fact, he loves it. Never tiring, Michalis looks forward to his journeys, no matter how long the drive, and always relishes creating new experiences with clients.

On Michalis’s most recent visit, he visited Preveza for the translation of a Power of Attorney with a client and attended 2 viewings at the Kanali Sunkissed Villas. While there, he enjoyed a meal at Kalofagas on the promenade, where they serve delightful salads and steak.

Next, Michalis traveled to Corfu for viewings of the Corfu Sunset Villas, which are in the scenic town of Aspiotades along the coast. Following that, he had lunch at Arcadion, enjoying a chicken breast burger, before returning to the mainland. Michalis’s favorite part of these trips is the late afternoon hours spent watching the sunset from the plot. He also cherishes his ferry trips to and from Corfu, with breathtaking views of the old town from the ferry. The sunlight disappears behind the island in a fantastic display of colors.
