Long cherished wish fulfilled
Because of study and holidays we have been coming to Greece for many years, so the wish to have a holiday home there ourselves one day was longstanding. After searching ourselves with estate agents in the Athens area, in the summer of 2019 we saw an attractive house being offered on the Elxis website. Contact with the owners was quickly arranged by Elxis and even during our holiday we were able to visit Amarynthos on the beautiful yet not so busy peninsula of Evia. A fishing village with a small boulevard with several restaurants and cafes, shops with fresh products and 1,5 hour drive from Athens airport. The house actually met our requirements exactly: spacious enough for family holidays, quietly located within walking distance of the village and amenities, and … very close to the sea and the beach.
We quickly decided to give Elxis power of attorney to take all the necessary steps on our behalf, and especially to translate and arrange the documents needed to complete the purchase. That is quite a lot in Greece, so it was a great comfort and especially a relief that this was all taken care of for us. Now, exactly one year later, we are the very happy and proud owners of a lovely holiday home where we enjoy the good Greek life outside on our spacious terrace with outdoor barbeque, by the sea or on the boulevard with our whole family plus other guests. Your Mediterranean dream does not have to stay a dream! And it can be realised from the Netherlands, also thanks to the fine services of Elxis.
