Evangelismos is a quiet village of fewer than 200 year-round residents, with a mini market, a coffee house and a taverna. Finikounda, 6.5 km away, offers long sandy beaches, a fishing harbour, tavernas, supermarkets and a pharmacy. Methoni, with its Venetian castle and fuller services, is 12 km away, and the golf courses of Costa Navarino are within an easy drive.
