Designed by renowned Dutch architect Joris Braat, this single-storey villa with a cellar is conceived around its open sea view and set on a 2,408 sqm plot above the bay at Finikounda in south-western Messinia. Architect-led and completed in 2021, the property has a 200 sqm main floor and a 40 sqm cellar level reached by a sunken garden patio (cour anglaise) that brings daylight into a third bedroom below ground.

This villa is a modern design where the architecture serves the view. The footprint is single-storey and low, with a generous open-plan main living space.
