Location

The Mantouki neighbourhood is situated between Panagia Platytera and the port, just 500 m. from Saroko square. Most of its houses were built during the 17th and 18th centuries, following the traditional Venetian architecture. It is crossed by stone and paved pathways. Along the streets, there are some taverns, cafeterias, a mini market, a butchery as well as an elementary school.

Anytime you want, you can take a glance at the cosmopolitan aura of Corfu, in a distance of just 1,5 km. Corfu is far more than its trademark blue-hued seas and sandy coastline. An UNESCO world heritage site, Renaissance, Baroque and Classical “gamut” came to be successfully applied to local artistic traditions. Palaces and  fortresses of the Venetian rule uniquely blend in the frame of tiny alleyways and small secluded squares. Stroll through the fascinating old town, admire historical sites, visit museums, hike across forested hills, walk around the traditional villages and indulge in hearty local dishes.

Corfu Airport (CFU) is just a 5 min drive.

Key locations to explore around:

  • Kontokali – A family-friend coastal tourist resort with plenty of beach bars, taverns and cafes. Its pebble beach has a blue flag and is organized with sunbeds. There you can find food to suit all tastes while you enjoy refreshing dips.
  • Gouvia – The largest marina in the island with several beaches to enjoy water sports or to simply lay back and relax.  Alternatively, take a day cruise or lose yourself shopping through the streets. Just 20 minutes away.
  • Acharavi – Ideally suited for families and couples. A picturesque flat area with pretty architecture and winding alleys. In front, a 3km sandy beach is streching. The town has its own water park and many hiking trails leading to a plethora of  traditional villages to explore. Just get active.
  • Kassiopi – A “repertoire” of numerous tiny pebbled bays if you seek peace and quiet or opt for the larger organised pebbled beach. Mount Pantokrator in the background and a charming fishing port with views to the port of Saranda in the foregound.
