What is the Second Home Expo? 

For the fifth time in 2024, Elxis visits the The Second Home Expo. This time, it’s in Ghent.

 

At Second Home Expo, you will find a selection of 150,000 holiday homes in more than 25 countries under one roof, and have access to all the industry experts in one place. As a home seeker, it’s the best place to start your home hunting. There are five expos every year spread across the Netherlands and Belgium, and Elxis has participated in every one since it started.

 

The event has been going since 1995, growing today to be one of the largest international home fairs in Europe, now with over 150 exhibitors. About 30,000 visitors come every year to the fair.

When is the Next Second Home Expo?

The next event is in Ghent in Belgium the 19th to the 20th of October, 2024.

 

The expo will be held from 10:00 – 17:00 at the Flanders Expo in Ghent.

Will Elxis be at Second Home Expo in Ghent?

Yes, Elxis will be present with a team of experts from both our Netherlands and Greece-based offices. Moreover, Giorgos Gavriilidis, Greek lawyer and CEO of Elxis, will give a talk about buying a second home in Greece at 12:30 on Saturday and Sunday.

 

The presentation shows the different facets and the particularities of buying a house in Greece. Cases such as tax and inheritance law are also discussed.

How to Get to Second Home Expo Ghent

By Car

Flanders Expo has enough spaces. The car parks are easily accessible and are located in the immediate vicinity of the various halls.

 

Public Transport to Second Home Expo Ghent

Flanders Expo is easily accessible by public transport (tram, train and bus). When you leave the Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station you will find the tramline 1 stop on your left. This tram will take you in less than 10 minutes to the Flanders Expo. It is also an option to visit us by bus (routes 76/77/78).

 

If you are coming with a train, tram or bus, you can plan your route easily to Flanders Expo with De Lijn’s route planner or NMBS.
