In May 2007, during a short spring break, we found a house in Stoupa (Peloponnisos). The house is meant as a summer residence for us and our two children.
We spoke with the estate agent locally about, among other things, possible renovations.
In the Netherlands we decided some time later to buy the house and to renovate it AND decided to let Elxis guide this whole process. The main reasons for this were our relative unfamiliarity with the bureaucratic process in Greece and the cultural difference that can make remodelling an extremely complex matter.
In July 2007, the house was completed and in August 2007 the house was completely rebuilt and furnished. The fact that this was arranged so quickly was partly made possible by the very professional guidance provided by Elxis. They have understanding and respect for both the Dutch and Greek culture. By explaining at the right moment to both sides, they prevented possible misunderstandings of the actions and points of view of both us and the Greek involved.
In addition, they have a network of relevant professionals in Greece who made it possible for us to go through all the procedural steps of the purchase and renovation of our house without being present in Greece ourselves.
The people of Elxis are always easily accessible and the appointments are punctually met.
Thanks to the guidance of Elxis we were able to realise the purchase and the renovation of our house in a short time. Despite the fact that we were not present in Greece during the entire renovation and purchase process, these were realised on time and fully in line with our wishes.
