Michael's Travels in April
Who is Michael?
This month, we focus on Michael, one of Elxis’s most tenured sales team members. Michalis traveled to some of the farthest points in Greece in April to show clients around sea view homes, to take photos of villas under construction, and to meet with local constructors and designers. Michael has embraced this call and embarked on an exciting journey through Greece. His month was filled with thrilling encounters and unforgettable experiences.
What’s more - even with the thousands of kilometers that he travels, and the 5:00 am journeys to the Ionian Coast, Michael thoroughly enjoys his travels. Michael tells us, in his own words, and with his own images, about his travels in April:
April 3
Michael guided his clients through the charming town of Kanali near Preveza, where they admired the beauty of the area. Michael adds that “it was a wonderful opportunity to personally assist the clients and understand their needs.”

Michael ventured to the captivating island of Rhodes. Alongside snapping photos of new properties, he took time to explore Rhodes town and immerse himself in its culture and surroundings. “The picturesque castles nestled around the old town of Rhodes added a touch of history and charm to my explorations. I also made new connections, enriching my knowledge of the Greek islands.”

Michael notes that “April’s travels were not just about business but also about personal growth and discovery. Each place I visited offered me new experiences and deepened my appreciation of Greece's beauty and diversity.”
As summer approaches, there's anticipation for more adventures from the Elxis team. Until then, the memories of April's travels, with the picturesque castles of Rhodes, will surely linger in the mind for a long time.
For many people who own, or plan to buy, a home in Greece, the journey is part of the experience. Some fly directly to Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, or Chania. Others prefer slower travel, combining trains, ferries, buses, and regional routes across Europe. Until now, however, planning a cross-border trip by train has often required patience, several booking platforms, and a healthy tolerance for uncertainty. A new proposal from the European Commission aims to make that process much simpler. The plan introduces a more unified system for booking cross-border journeys across Europe, especially train journeys involving more than one operator. The goal is clear: travellers should be able to search, compare, and book a complete journey through one platform, even when different transport companies are involved. For international buyers, second-home owners, and regular visitors to Greece, this could become an important step towards easier, more flexible travel across Europe.
A third Cretan beach, Falassarna, also appears in the global top 20, ranking 11th. Alongside them, Paleokastritsa in Corfu takes 14th place, giving Greece one of the strongest national showings in the ranking. At the very top of the list is Isla Pasión in Mexico, praised for its tropical scenery and distinctive natural shape. But while Mexico may hold first place, Greece clearly dominates the podium, with Crete claiming two of the three highest positions.
Law 5293/2026 introduces a framework that redefines the role of the notary in property transfers in Greece. The notary is designated as a “one-stop shop” for the completion of transactions involving the transfer of property rights. The provisions apply to transfers arising from sale, donation, parental gift, or inheritance.
