Volissos is a picturesque village on Chios’s northwest coast, about 40 km from the capital, port, and airport. Its winding cobblestone streets, sun-drenched terraces, and timeless atmosphere make it one of the island’s most charming corners. The small harbour and marina of Limnia, along with the beaches of Lefkathia and Limnos, lie just 2 to 3 kilometres away.

The village is self-sufficient, with a butcher, baker, candle maker, and two minimarkets serving daily needs, supplemented by a visiting greengrocer three times a week and fresh catch brought in by local fishermen. Tavernas, both in the village and by the sea, offer an inviting spread of Greek cuisine. Volissos has a pharmacy, post office, police station, ATM, and a small clinic with a doctor on call around the clock.
