The Cretan Wave Residences take their form from the movement of the sea. Three new-build villas in Daratsos, 4.5 km from Chania, with lines that rise and fall like the waves that inspired them, and sea views from every home.

Designed by an architecture and design studio based in Chania, the project is built around clarity of form, natural materials, and spaces that strengthen the connection between home and landscape. The result is a compact, contemporary complex of three villas that combines functionality, energy efficiency, and quality of construction, shaped to suit the climate and character of Crete.

Each villa offers a total of 128 sqm of living spaces and a 64 sqm basement. All residences follow the same practical layout: Unfolding over two floors and a basement, the ground floor houses the open-plan living/dining room and kitchen, one bedroom, one bathroom, and the interior staircase. Large patio doors open onto the pool terrace and sun lounge deck. The flight of stairs takes one to the first floor, featuring two large bedrooms, as well as one bathroom. Both bedrooms are fitted with 'floor-to-ceiling' frames, and offer access to spacious balconies with sea, town and countryside views. The basement level houses the garage, with space for two cars, a storage room, a bathroom, and the staircase.

The swimming pool and sun deck are the focal points of each villa's outdoor area. The landscaped gardens are planted with local flora such as oregano, lavender, and thyme at ground level, with olive and cypress trees above, chosen to keep water consumption low and let the project settle naturally into its surroundings.

Heating and cooling run on a heat pump with fan coil units, an efficient system suited to comfort in every season. The villas are delivered with bathroom sanitary ware and fittings and full kitchen fittings.

The Galatas and Daratsos area sits within one of the most established holiday zones in western Crete, minutes from the Blue Flag beaches west of Chania. Demand here is supported by a genuinely long season, running from spring well into autumn, and by Chania International Airport just 20 km away, with direct seasonal connections to cities across Europe alongside year-round links to Athens. Location - distances
Galatas and Daratsos are neighbouring villages on the low hills just west of Chania, close enough to share the same beaches and everyday amenities. Daratsos is the quieter of the two, a largely residential area that many Chania locals choose for its balance of calm and convenience. Galatas carries a longer story: it was the scene of one of the defining moments of the Battle of Crete in 1941, and the village square, the Greek and New Zealand memorial, and a small museum still draw visitors tracing that history. Today it remains a living village rather than a monument, with tavernas around the square and a permanent local community that keeps both villages active well beyond the summer months
