- Methoni – 7 minutes by car. - Pylos – 16 minutes by car. The area's main town has one of the biggest natural ports in Europe and a small marina. It has a lovely central square, shaded by ancient Platanus trees, where you can find a good range of shops and nice cafeterias.
- Koroni – 24 minutes by car. You can find a wide variety of restaurants and bars which front the attractive harbour side overlooked by the ruins of the original Venetian castle. There are two banks, a post office, a hairdresser, a dentist, doctors, and many shops for everyday needs. There is also a vegetable and bric-a-brac market on Sunday mornings.
