A quietly situated traditional residence with a guest house in Petrouni, a small town in the greenest part of the island of Kythira, near the lively town of Potamos (6 km). The house is built on one of the high hills and therefore has a fantastic view over almost the entire island. On both sides of the house there are beautifully maintained gardens at various levels. On the south side there are grapes, different fruit and citrus trees. On the north slope a vegetable garden and olive trees. The house itself is surrounded by flowers and herbs where there are several terraces, both in the sun and shade.

The property is accessible via a good road and offers a great starting point for hikers and nature lovers.

Total plot area: 1,120 sq.m.

The house (160 sq.m) consists of a bright, spacious living room with a traditional kamara (arch vault), kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. The living room has also a beautiful view. Both the living room, the kitchen and the bedroom have a beautiful wooden roof construction as a ceiling, which is very characteristic of Greece.

It is extremely comfortable all year round, because of a central heating system which covers all areas. In the living room and in the kitchen there are so-called “finovens”, wood stoves that provide a pleasant warmth and which have the characteristic trait to be very economical. The house has double glazing and shutters and was completely renovated in 2010, including the roof.

The private guest house (45 sq.m) has two rooms, a simple open kitchen and a bathroom.
