The Wedge House in Pylos, Greece, is a stunning architectural masterpiece that showcases the beauty and versatility of raw concrete. Designed and developed by Greek architect studio Urban Soul Project for one of our clients, the Wedge House is a unique blend of minimalist design, wedged corners, and sustainable architecture.
Located on the west coast of Greece, outside the village of Methoni, the Wedge House enjoys prime sunny weather all-year round. Further, it is nestled on a steep hillside overlooking the Ionian Sea, securing stunning sunset views alongside the constant picture of the Peloponnesian waters.
The exterior of the Wedge House is made almost entirely of raw concrete and natural stone, which gives it a rugged and organic feel that blends perfectly with its natural surroundings. Moreover, this composition matches the building traditions of the wider area. Finally, the concrete employed for the construction is left untreated and unpainted, allowing the natural texture and color of the material to shine through.
One of the most striking features of the Wedge House is its expansive glass facade, which offers panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. The glass facade also allows natural light to flood into the interior of the house, creating a bright and airy atmosphere that is both welcoming and serene.
Further, there are several protected seating areas outdoors as well, which allow the guests to fully experience the year-long sunny weather of Peloponnesus.
The Wedge House is a true work of art that guarantees an incredible time during one’s stay.
Besides offering many opportunities for relaxing while at-home, the property is also situated close to highly appealing attractions. For once, it is just a short walk away from some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece!
On the other hand, the Wedge House is located less than 30 minutes away from the world-class Golf courses of Costa Navarino. Greece is certainly becoming a golfing destination!
This is the ultimate destination for all those who seek to enjoy the pristine waters of Greece and enjoy the renowned and awarded courses offered at such a convenient distance from the Wedge House.

Imagine standing before a grand neoclassical building in 19th-century Athens, your eyes tracing its stately columns and pediments. At the roof’s edge, intricate tiles—akrokerama—capture your attention, adorned with motifs of anthemia, acanthus leaves, or even mythical creatures like the Gorgon Medusa. These are not mere decorations; they are heirs to an ancient tradition dating back to the temples of classical Greece. Functional yet exquisite, akrokerama protected rooftops from wind and rain while deterring birds and snakes, their beauty matched only by their ingenuity.
Today, these architectural jewels tell a story of continuity, artistry, and cultural pride, bridging the ancient and the modern in a uniquely Greek way.

Google “Greek islands” and the first pictures in the search results will likely be on Mykonos or Santorini. We’re all familiar with the white stucco walls and blue trim that characterize the architecture of these 2 world-famous islands. The two-tone style is popular more broadly in the Cyclades, a group of islands just east of Athens.
