- Finikounda, in walking distance from the villa, is a coastal village that has developed into one of the most beautiful summer resorts of the southern Peloponnese. It is surrounded by long sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, where you can also enjoy water sports. The village has a very pretty harbour for traditional fishing boats and recreational boats. There are also beachfront cafeterias and several traditional restaurants, where you can enjoy, among others, fresh fish and delicious dishes from the Messinian kitchen. Additionally, in Finikounda you can find supermarkets, many tourist shops and a pharmacy.
- Methoni, 8 minutes by car, is a small, well-preserved traditional town, protected by the Greek Archaeological Service due to the imposing Venetian Castle, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunset and beneath which lie a beach and a sheltered harbour. There is a beautiful square in the centre of the town and another one at the seaside, where you can find nice restaurants to enjoy fresh fish and other traditional Mediterranean dishes. Methoni also has supermarkets, a pharmacy, a dentist and a public infirmary.
- Pylos, a 18 minute – drive away, is the area’s main town, with one of the biggest natural ports in Europe and a small marina. Being amphitheatrically built and very picturesque makes it one of the most beautiful towns in Greece. It has a lovely central square, shaded by ancient plane trees, where you can find a good range of shops and nice cafeterias. There are also supermarkets, traditional restaurants, pharmacies, a satisfying range of doctors, and a small medical centre with good facilities and reliable staff who provide prompt emergency service for mild cases. The area of Pylos has four impressive signature golf courses, and the nearest one is 20 minutes away from the property.
- Koroni, 25 minutes by car, where you can find a wide variety of restaurants and bars which front the attractive harbour side overlooked by the ruins of the original Venetian castle. There are two banks, a post office, a hairdresser, a dentist, doctors, and a wide range of shops for everyday needs. There is also a vegetable and bric-a-brac market on Sunday mornings.
