I started looking for information about the island of Thassos and found what is now O Paradisos. A small apartment complex in the middle of an olive grove with more than 1000 year old trees. Wow… to be able to live here, it had to be paradise on earth. Through Brigitte van Rijn (The Greek Wedding) we came into contact with Elxis, an agency specialised in the purchase of (holiday) homes in Greece. With them we had an exploratory discussion about buying in Greece.
In October 2005 we flew to Greece to view our dream house on site. Elxis took care of the local contacts. Upon arrival the contact person of Elxis was waiting for us. He showed us all kinds of properties the whole week and did not tire to tell us everything about his island. Perfectly organised!
Once back in the Netherlands, we decided to buy our dream house. Because we do not know the Greek language and housing market, it seemed wise to us to use Elxis as a specialist. They arranged all permits and necessary papers in no time and in March 2006 we could call ourselves owners of our holiday park “O Paradisos”. Without them we would never have succeeded so quickly.
